Swiss watchmaking meets Swiss natural stone
Vals Quartzite can be found in Audemars Piguet boutiques around the world. The natural stone is an integral part of the high-quality interior architecture and is used selectively in prominent areas – as flooring, on the distinctive sales counters and on selected furniture fronts. More about the project
Products: Vals Quartzite , honed C120, cut against the grain
Area of application: Interior Flooring
Material supplier: Truffer AG
Material & contribution by Truffer
The design team deliberately selected a special variety of Vals Quartzite: a lighter stone with distinctive quartz inclusions, cut against the natural bedding direction. The surface highlights the natural structure of the stone and particularly showcases its characteristic white quartz inclusions.

Sustainability & regional values
The combination of a Swiss watchmaker and natural stone from Switzerland creates a strong connection through their shared heritage. Quarried and processed in Vals, the natural stone brings a sense of Swiss origin to Audemars Piguet boutiques. Its durability and local processing also represent a conscious and long-term approach to natural resources.
Characteristics & solutions
The individual stone selection and deliberate cutting against the natural bedding direction showcase Vals Quartzite in a distinctive new appearance.
